Meet the Trustees of Seniors ASAP Trust

Rachel Windle

Founder & Trustee

Rachel is a registered social worker in private practice. Over the past 20 years Rachel has had extensive experience working in the areas of Statutory Social Work, Sensitive Claims, Brain Injury, Family Violence, Health and Psychiatry of Older People and Elder Abuse and Neglect. This experience led her to developing the concept of and founding the Seniors ASAP Trust to which she now contributes to as a Trustee.

Sally Raymond-Paikea

Founding Trustee

Sally is a social worker in private practice. For more than 20 years Sally has worked extensively in community, statutory & educational roles. Sally’s experience resides strongly with youth, chronic illness, vulnerable adults, elder abuse & neglect alongside teaching kaupapa Māori concepts & encouraging bi-cultural practice within the social work profession. This experience has led her to contributing to the development of the Seniors ASAP Trust to which she continues to support as a Trustee.

Emily King

Founding Trustee

Emily is a registered Social worker and Trustee of ASAP Trust. Emily's social work career started on the medical wards at Whangarei Hospital and progressed into a PPPR (Protection of Personal and Property Rights Act) Specialist Social Work role providing consultation, education and support to vulnerable older adults, their families and health professionals. Emily's passion for working alongside vulnerable older adults and her knowledge and experience of service gaps and the need for family support has led to her interest in becoming a Trustee for ASAP Trust.

Vincent Brown

Trustee

Vincent Brown has a big passion to work and engage with people from all walks of life. Vincent has over 10 years working in paid and voluntary roles with youth through many different avenues including Churches, DHB and NGO’s. Vincent is both Māori and New Zealand European which gives him a great mix to sit in both worlds and look at things from a different angle. Vincent’s a family man at heart who is dedicated to his own whanau and also his wider community whanau with his marae and engaging with his local kaumatua and kuia.

Ruby Lever

Trustee

Ruby is a registered social worker with 14 years in the industry. Ruby has strong foundational skills in assessment, education, and advocacy for some of the most vulnerable in our community. Now working in the stroke and rehabilitation space Ruby has been able to transfer these skills to support older adults and family members experiencing health crisis. This role has sparked a passion in advocating for older adults at risk of abuse and neglect. She is excited to provide the ASAP Trust with this experience as a trustee.
